If you're shopping for a Cadillac Escalade and live in California, you may have noticed that the average price for this luxury SUV is about $5,000 less than in other states such as Texas, Florida, New York, and Michigan or... almost $15,000 less than in Alabama. This price difference may seem surprising, but it's actually due to the trim and equipment level of the vehicles available for purchase in California. California dealers have favored the "less expensive" Escalade trims. Notably, in California, the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims make up 67% of the inventory, while the same trims make up only 51% of the inventory for the states with higher upsell (Texas, Florida, New York, and Michigan).
